DORITOS ROULETTE - IN-STORE PROMO & ACTIVATION

To celebrate the newly revamped Doritos Roulette pack and flavour chips, Visualise were tasked with creating a number of retailer specific shopper promotions along with an in-store experiential activation for one retail channel.

Introduction

At Doritos, they like to be bold, that’s why this year they have partnered up with the iconic hot Pepper sauce, TABASCO® Sauce to give their hugely popular Roulette flavour a new twist! Most chips in the bag are still the Tangy Cheese that consumers love, but one chip in every handful is coated with TABASCO® Sauce. Every chip looks the same, so consumers will never know which one it is!

It really all comes down to whether you are bold enough to handle the heat?

Approach

To celebrate the newly revamped Roulette pack and flavour chips, Visualise were tasked with creating a number of retailer specific shopper promotions along with an in-store experiential activation for one retail channel.

Working with some of the Doritos core assets, Visualise added more detail to create retailer specific promotions that worked across a number of POS formats in the different retail channels including online. With the aim of driving shopper engagement and prompting purchase with shoppers in store, we also used Buy Scan Win and Freetext mechanics to help achieve this. The retail promotions used included ‘Can you and a Mate handle the heat of Las Vegas?’, ‘Win a trip for 4 to Fire Mountain Lanzarote’ and ‘Win a trip to the Hottest music gig in Mexico City’.

Visualise managed all aspects of these campaigns from concepting the promotions, artwork design, design & management of the in-store experiential activation right through to fulfillment of all prizes.
